JR Perkins 'Bell Twister'

'Bell Twister 47'

Bell Twister 47

Most people think that helicopters are hard to fly, but in fact they are not.

I started flying one last year and know I'm pretty good at it.

The good thing is that you don't need to have flown a model airplane to start off in helicopters. There are many beginner helicopters available and some are good and some not so good. There are usually at least four channels on a good beginner helicopter and the controls are simple.

The one I'd recommend would be a 'Twister Bell 47' . The price is around €179.99. The parts you get with it are, the helicopter (ready assembled), battery(li-poly), a professional transmitter, one-hour charger (which can also be powered by a 12v battery), mains power supply, 4 spare blades and an instructional dvd . Most importantly spare parts ARE available (details at end of article) . This helicopter is very easy to fly and is very stable and you can even fly it in your own living room!! (with alot of practice of course) and outdoors in calm winds. The flights vary from 10-15 min's. If you crash, the parts that usually break/get damaged are the rotors.

I've had mine for almost a year and its still flying great. Hopefully you will get a lot of enjoyment out of this little machine as I did and still do. more details are available here:
