I received an email from the Midland model flying club who would like to invite all heli pilots to their fun fly on 28th Dec at Boora Parklands, Kilcormac. Co.Offaly.
Flying of the peg @ 9am.
Insurance required.
Also on the day we will be having a meeting about next years competition.

Election of new heli committee.
Judges course.
Venue's & Dates.
Competition format.
3Dx Ireland.
4-December-06 :
The date for the upcoming "Drinks Night" has had to be changed to the 13th December at 8:30. Further details about this eveneing and the upcoming Christmas Fun Fly and Indoor Novelty Fun Fly are available.
Please note the AGM is scheduled for the 29th January and any "Proposal for Change" need to be submitted to the club secretary before January the 1st. Don't forget to add this important date to your diary's.

Autumn Control Line Fly-in to be held on the Saturday the 23rd of September. Contact Dermot O'Flynn for more details.
Now the Autumn is here in earnest the "SUMMER" gliding is now finished after a sucessful seasons flying.
Also the Thursday evening flying is now finished. Keep in touch to find out when the indoor flying restarts for the Winter.

Important mesage from MACI
Due to operational issues the site for the Aerobatic Nationals on August 12th & 13th has changed from the Portlaosie MFC to Curran Model Flying Club in Tipperary Town.
Please contact Niall O' Sullivan on 087 2949640 for any questions or queries.
Pilots briefing will be held at 9AM with first flight at 9:30AM. We would appreciate if you would inform any of your members who are intending on travelling to the nationals of the new venue.

Frank Fallon sent in a review of his RTF Twister Bell 47 helicopter.
Don't forget that the Schulter Cup is on the weekend of the 19th of August so try to make it down to support the this national event. I can recommend it for both helicopter and fixed wing flyers.

We have the unexpected opportunity to host a helicopter competition on Saturday 15th July next. The competition is planned to take place at the club field and will finish between 4pm and 5pm.Any members wishing to compete or to assist with the competition in any way please contact Liam Broderick.
Please note that this will mean that the field will be unavailable for club flying use on Saturday the 15th.

With the excellent weather that we have been having recently it is getting harder for some of us to get to the club over the weekend due to "other" committments. The Thursday evening flying session has been resumed for those interested and available so why not try to make it down for a flight.
The Schulter Cup Competition.

As the 2006 Schluter Cup is on the way, bigger and better after missing last year. We would like to see as many as possible enjoying a fun weekend, remember a prize for everyone and a good meal on the Saturday night.

Just another reminder that the club membership fees are now overdue. MACI insurance from last years membership expires on the 31st of March, so please make sure that you renew your membership (and insurance....) before the end of the month.

The start of another year is now well under way and as usual the first club meeting of the year is the Club AGM. The AGM is at 8:00pm on the 30th of January in the Shannon Golf Club. Every member is encouraged to attend this important meeting and we look forward to having a large turnout.
