All members are reminded that we are hosting the MACI AGM this year. The AGM is at 2:00pm on the 27th of November at the Clare Inn Hotel in Dromoland. Every member is encouraged to attend this important meeting and we look forward to having a large turnout. For further information please contact either Dermot Flynn or Denis McNelis.

All members are reminded that the Club Flying Rule 19 comes into effect on the 1st of October. A copy of the current flying rules are posted on the back of the door to the club house as well as being available here.

The next club meeting is to be held next Tuesday the 28th of September at the Shannon Golf Club at 8:00. A notice will be mailed to all members tomorrow with the agenda for the meeting.

I have just an update from Shankill Radio Flying Club about the SRFC Scale Champs which had to be cancelled last weekend due to the high winds. Please make a note in your diary that it has been rescheduled for the weekend of the 23rd and 24th of October. Any scale or semi scale airplane can fly. All A or B cert pilots are welcome to fly. I have just received a note from Bob Finlay of the Shankill Radio Flying Club with an open invitation to the SRFC Scale Champs on the weekend of the 18th and 19th of September. Any scale or semi scale airplane can fly. All A or B cert pilots are welcome to fly. More details and a map to the site is available on their website www.srfc.net.

The first fun fly in September was due to be held yesterday however due to a very low cloud cover on the day it was not possible to fly. Details of the new date for the fun fly will be posted as soon as they are available.
Just a reminder that there is to be a Heli Fly-in at the club on the Saturday the 25th of September. More details available from John Fitzgerald.
The Schulter up weekend was on the 14/15th of August as once again was blessed with excellent weather and a large turn out. More details to follow and they will be posted here.

Don't forget that the MACI Nationals are being held on the weekend of the 7/8th August. Further details available on the MACI website here.
Upcoming events in the next month include the Schulter Cup 2004 on the weekend of the 14/15th August.
There is also to be a MACI A/B Certificate examiners course to be run at the club on the 25th of August at 11:00.
05-June-04 :
We have been contacted by the Gardai regarding the visit of President Bush to the Shannon region on the 25th and 26th of June. There will be no flying permitted at the club on the 25th of June and before 4:00pm on the 26th of June due to security reasons.
26-May-04 :
Next club meeting is on the 1st of June at 8:00 at the Flying Filed Clubhouse
This meeting will be dicussing issues to do with the flying rules and everyone is encouraged to attend. The field will be open for flying up until 8:00 if anyone is interested in a flight before the meeting.
There is a Club Fun FLy to be held on this Sunday the 30th May at 1:00 so do try to come along and join in the fun.
Examiners will be available after the Fun Fly for anyone interested in doing their "A" Cert.
Finally the Helicopter Fly in scheduled for the 26th of June has been cancelled due to the President Bush visit to the region. The new date will be comfirmed shortly.

Next club meeting is on the 30th of March at 8:00 at Fennessy's Bar.
All members who have renewed their membership should have received their MACI Membership cards for the coming year by now. Please remember to carry this with you when you are at the flying field as it is your proof of having insurance.

The AGM is to be held on Saturday the 31st of January at the Shannon Golf Club at 8:00 with a social gathering afterwards.
Unfortunately the Fun Fly scheduled for the 1st of February has had to be cancelled.
