21-September-03 :

Next weeks fun fly is being postponed to a later date. Details of all upcoming event can be seen on the club event calender. Also a new section has been added to the site. This is the For Sale and Wanted sections which are accessible from the INFO section.

Also added are some photographs by Dermot O'Flynn from his recent travels

28-August-03 :

There are two fun flys to be held at the club next month. The first is the Heli Fun Fly on the 20th September with the Airplane Fun Fly on the following weekend on the 28th September. We look forward to haveing a large turnout at both events so nows the time to get practicing!!! Details of all upcoming event can be seen on the club event calender.

28-July-03 :

The next major event at the club is this years Schulter Cup. This is an international competition for helicopters and for the last number of years has been very well attended and this year is looking like having a larger number of competitors than last year. Details of the upcoming event can be seen here.

10-June-03 :

Next Club Meeting is to be held on the 16th June in the Shannon Golf Club at 8:00. We would like to see a good turn out to this meeting...... The agenda for the meeting can be seen here

25-May-03 :

22-April-03 :

Details of the competition calender for 2003 have been added to the web site.

9-April-03 :

Control-Line Fly-in will be held on Saturday, 12 th April, 2003. This is a great chance to meet fellow control-line enthusiasts and see different types of models in action. It is also an opportunity to get help from the experts.

10.00 am start till last flyer leaves.

Free tea / coffee and biscuits.

Please note that MACI insurance must be produced.

7-April-03 :

Date for the Field Maintence weekend has been postponed. Details of the new date for this will be confirmed later. There will be no flying that weekend until the necessary projects are finished. All members are asked to make a special effort to help out so that we all can enjoy the facilities of the club at their best for the rest of the year. We look forward to a good turn out on the maintainence weekend. For more information contact Dermot.

The club social meeting held on the 10th on March was a great success. The latest additions to teh club video library where shown. These videos are available for loan from club treasurer William Gaule for a nominal deposit. The video's shown were SPLAT! 1,2 & 3. The name of the video tells the whole story and some of the incidents were eye openers!!!!

At the end of the night Dermot O'Flynn announced that the club maintainance weekend is set for the 5th and 6th of April. There will be no flying that weekend until the necessary projects are finished. All members are asked to make a special effort to help out so that we all can enjoy the facilities of thr club at their best for the rest of the year. For more information contact Dermot.

Message from the new chairman.

The club members did me the honour of electing me Chairman at the AGM on January 20. I have held many positions in the club over the last ten years but never the Top Job.

The December Fun-Fly Results.

The final fun-Fly event of the year was held on a glorious sunny day (ok it was cold....) on the 15th December. Weather conditions were ideal with only a very light breeze and 8 hardy competitors turned up to compete. Full details available here.
